Juan Francisco Estrada y Jesse Rodríguez estuvieron frente a frente en el primer lanzamiento ceremonial en el Chase Field de Phoenix, antes del partido en casa de los Diamondbacks de Arizona contra los Mellizos de Minnesota.
Estrada (44-3, 28 KO’s) y Rodríguez (19-0, 12 KO’s) se enfrentarán en el Footprint Center de Arizona en un esperado encuentro este sábado 29 de junio por el título supermosca del Consejo Mundial de Boxeo, que posee el “Gallo”.
Estrada hará su presentación este 2024 luego de una ausencia del ring por más de año y medio debido a problemas promocionales. En su última pelea, Estrada se apoderó del cinutrón verde y oro derrotando en una tercera guerra ante Román ‘El Chocolatito’ González.
Por su parte, el estadounidense de ascendencia mexicana, anhela reconquistar el título supermosca del WBC con apenas 24 años. ‘Bam’ llega tras unificar los títulos de la OMB y FIB en la cdivisión mosca al noquear a Sunny Edwards en diciembre del año pasado.
