After a dream debut where they were crowned Continental champions of the Americas by both the World Boxing Council (WBC) and the World Boxing Association (WBA), the talented Mexican twins Ari and Andrey Bonilla are ready to step back into the ring and continue showcasing their enormous potential. The duo, known as the ‘Fantastic Twins,’ will have their second professional fight on October 11th at the Hard Rock Live at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Seminole in Hollywood, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, an arena that promises to be the stage for their consolidation as future boxing stars.
The Bonilla brothers, born in Pasadena, California, but raised in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, broke barriers in their professional debut by fighting in 10-round bouts and becoming Continental champions—an achievement no other Mexican had accomplished in their first professional contest. At just 19 years old, they’ve already made history by defeating top opponents: Ari, in the super flyweight division, defeated Adrián Ibarra, while Andrey, in the bantamweight division, knocked out Colombian Wilner Soto with a powerful liver shot in the fourth round.
Despite being born in the United States, the Bonilla brothers have spent almost their entire lives in Mexico, in Ciudad Juárez, and have always maintained a deep connection to their Mexican roots. During their amateur careers, they proudly represented Mexico in various international competitions. Although their initial goal was to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympics, fate led them to the decision to turn professional after failing to secure an Olympic berth.
Soon after, promoters Kris Lawrence of The Heavyweight Factory and the duo of Leon Margules and Luis de Cubas Sr. of Warriors Boxing signed the twins, betting 100% on their talent and projection. The Bonillas, with a combination of youth, determination, and discipline, not only met but exceeded the promoters’ expectations in their debut, making it clear that they have the potential to become world-class boxing figures.
On August 23rd, their first appearance in the professional ring captivated boxing fans and experts alike, who witnessed a fresh, technical, and physically strong boxing style. The Bonilla brothers showed maturity and control in the ring, qualities that allowed them to emerge victorious in their respective fights. Now, ahead of their next bout, they are already in an intense training camp in Texas, fine-tuning every detail under their coaching team, headed by their trainer and manager, Zamir Lozano.

One of the most remarkable aspects of these young fighters is their resilience and ability to adapt to challenges. Although they didn’t achieve their Olympic goal, the Bonilla brothers have moved past that chapter and are now focused on their professional careers, determined to make a name for themselves among the elite of international boxing. Despite their young age, they already have notable experience in the ring and have proven that they possess both the physical attributes and the mentality to face great challenges.
The ambition of the ‘Fantastic Twins’ knows no bounds. Their dream now is to conquer world titles, and although they were born on U.S. soil, their hearts and boxing identities are deeply rooted in Mexico. For that reason, they will continue to represent the country that shaped them as athletes and fight to carry the Mexican flag to the pinnacle of professional boxing.
In their next fight, both Ari and Andrey will seek to reaffirm their quality and continue their meteoric rise in the sport of boxing. Every step they take in the ring will be closely watched by fans and experts, who see these young men as the future stars of the sport. There’s no doubt that the Bonilla brothers have the talent, discipline, and charisma to leave an indelible mark on the history of world boxing.
